Greetings, Antonio.
It horrifies me that so many religions - designed to bring us closer to God - insist on ignoring the greatest commandment... love.
You have a beautiful heart, Antonio. I can only offer my love and prayers.
I think that Matt's obs…
it's called communication and conversation...nobody around here is going to shoot down your balloons...the only reason i am here is that others speak and listen...whadda concept!!!!!!!...to embrace the reality of true acceptance of all people and to…
Carl-- thank you in helping me lay down the the layers of thoughts for my consideration. I know I am in exhile but while I embrace my exhile, that doesn't mean that i don't want to be united with the total family of humanity. That most likely will n…
A very serious question, my friend...do you worship/acknowledge the authority of/ respond to/give credence to...the CHURCH or God/Creator????? I gave up on the CHURCH a long time ago...the CHURCH and God/Creator/give IT a name!!!!????...are not the…
DEAR TOM--YOU WROTE "You have embraced a church that supports transubstantiation, but denies YOU as a beloved child of God. Personally I would rather have it the other way around." Profound observation.
This subject began as "How to get excomunicate…
Antonio, I'm just curious. What does is matter what the church professes? If in your heart transubstantiation is what you are experiencing, that is a matter between your spiritual being and the Divine, and it is there no matter what anyone around yo…
Hey Antonio:
Yes, this is interesting taking this question apart and getting a better understanding what it really means. Personally, I like the view of the sacriments (and most any ritual for that matter) as 'an outward and visible sign of an inner…
thank you Kevin--Frankly, i don't understand what the Bishop is saying. Does "real presence" mean the body and blood of Jesus is in the Eucharist or some other aspect of Jesus is present within them. What ever is present, how does it get there? Is i…
Hey Antonio:
It seems I was somewhat mistaken. I was able to get in touch with the diocese and the local bishop replied with the following:
"I think this will never be totally clear, but the basic Anglican theology does not support classic transub…
Yo, Matt, sorry so late on this. But in the church I attend, Because of the flue epidemic they have removed the holy water font, and ask we just bow etc for acknowledgment of neighbors. I agree and have always done that with non family. When i was i…
Hey Antonio:
I looked into this and from what I can find the answer is yes, Episcopal theology does believe in transubstantiation.
I would recommend stopping in an Episcopal church some Sunday morning for mass. Within our church, all people are wel…
Kevin--hello. Thank you . I have and still do taking the action you have taken. However, as i understand, transubstantiation does not occur in the Episcopal Mass. Am I wrong?
thank you for your reply. I haven't seen you before. I hope you post a top…
Don't envy me, my friend ;) - I'm engaged too. Great, isn't it?! But writing about ideas .... Hmm. Am behind in writing a short column for my church newsletter, and in writing some (at the moment private) thoughts about the tension (in my mind) between Safe Congregation policies and the need to foster environments of loving risk-taking.
I have also found how heady it is when I find people with whom I can have these coversations. Ahhh ... The power of desire is beautiful :) That's why I am now leaving the computer and going for a walk.
Hi Antonio - I expect something will engage me in a way that leads me to write. Meantime I expect to wander the meandering and broad path that CSC creates.

Hi Antonio,
You should be able to find "The Hidden Spirituality of Men" at any book store, & at Amazon.com, which is where I got mine.
Hi Antonio
Welcome here. I hope that this indeed is the place to answer "where do I start?" A lot of amazing people here. Do hang around, join up to the conversations that grab you (as you've already done), and let yourself be blessed by whatever exploring and expressing you do here. I think the central point of OB is that you are a blessing, a gift, a created, creative creature with the capacity to feel immense love, joy, pain; with unique gifts that cry out to be shared; and with a responsibility to yourself and all of creation to confront injustice. You could start a discussion on that very question - you'd get some interesting and different answers.
Welcome,
Matt
