I always love hearing such beautiful earthy descriptions of life in my homeland. And at Equinox...Autumn for you spring for us. The girls and I celebrated the spring equinox to its fullest the other day. The night before we all chose seeds to plant,…
The moon over here in Australia is beaming full and gorgeous tonight, half a day before you will see her, lucky us. It's been lovely picturing your potatoes and tomatoes and beans and all the surplus you are able to deal with. ENJoy! Today I peeled…
How did you come to discover Creation Spirituality?
When I first met my husband, he gave me a book called the Future of God in which I read beautiful things about God that I wish I had come up with myself. In it I read Matthew Fox's short essay and my religious upbringing was thrown on its head. I learned more as time went by through my husband's reading, eventually participating in a week seminar at UCS on Howard Thurman and Thich Nat Hanh.

Shana, I like your idea of having a 'retreat hut' on the other side of the dam. I have this image of you holing up there for a day or two each time you bleed, when dreams are more vivid and there's 'inner work' to do.
No we didn't build this little cottage we live in now. It is built of cob (mud and small stones) and has stood here since 1733. We did build a little house though, on the 30 acres we once owned in East Gippsland, Victoria (near Omeo). The walls were mudbrick and the gables were recycled timber. We had help with the roof and the plumbing. I really enjoyed searching the salvage yards for old doors and windows and things. We even found some useful things in the tip! It was certainly an incredible learning experience, building a house together. (Making a couple of thousand mud bricks was the easy part!)
Good Morning. I had no idea you were born in Bellingham. I knew you lived in Michigan - I was born there. Bellingham is growing. But the beauty remains. I never stop being in awe of Mt. Baker - one day here another day gone! Magic Mountain. I am fortunate to live on a 10-acre farm with woods all around, and streams and ponds. There are still pleanty of places like this in Bellingham. It is a wonder filled place for my grandchildren. I will write more soon...
Hi Shana, I speak french, but I had an Irish mother and my writing is much to be desired.
Mais je suis tres hereux a faire votre connaisance.
Fifteen years ago I met an Australian in the Rocky Mountains we travelled together for two weeks and we still correspond. The closest we got to Australia is Hawaii, my wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary, in 2008.
I am glad your are following compassionate living as a lifestyle. I have so many ideas on this subject, perhaps we can share them through this post.
Le sourire ouvre la porte des coeurs. Les pleurs attendrissent le coeur. Le coeur est l'écrin de l'amour. L'amour façonne les relations durables. Le premier "je t'aime" est éternel.

I have read many books of Rudolph Steiner and I was fascinated by his cosmology. Porte le sourire sur ton visage et la vie te sourira. Je suis enchanté de faire ta con-naissance. Shalom
