Absolutely. I, too, am sick & tired of the debate, and no longer participate in it, or other nonsensical things.

A place for those who find soul in gardening. Gunilla Norris writes in Mystic Garden, "The garden is a place for learning patience, letting go of our need to control, and losing our expectations of how things will turn out in the end.

Bishop Spong Manifesto -

A friend sent me another artist's blog. Deep into the blog was this menifesto from Bishop Spong - essentially he writes that he will not long dignify reading, listening to, or having any involvement with people who believe homosexuality is devient, discussed in the Bible etc...
The artist is susansinger's. Blessings! Marian

Response to Ana about children and death

Good Morning Ana. Thank you for asking about Phoebe. I see that death for children is a progression of understanding. We answer their newest questions and add a bit about the death of a body and the life of the Spirit. In my 20's I spent time with Elizabeth Kubler Ross. I worked developing hospice programs for 15 years and worked in the early "politics" of death and dying in U.S.

When Phoebe was 4 their dog died after a decline. Weeks later she asked, Dad, where is Qui Que? Matt said, remember… Continue

Garden Group

As the Spring Equinox approaches and I'm going to plant peas, I wonder if there is a garden group. It's a perfect Creation Spirituality Community! We're fortunate out here on the coast in Western Washington - even though it's been snowing off and on - we can begin early spring planting. Because my garden is going in in a very old garden spot on the farm where I live, I need to do lots of soil building. The chickens help! It's great to be digging in the dirt!

Hello Marian! Nice to meet you across the distance. I was born in Bellingham and never have gotten over the fact that my parents took me away when I was two, leaving beauty for suburban life in Chicago. My grandmother used to take me hiking on the Duckabush River to hunt chantrells, near Brinnon. I love yor state, wish I knew it more. Now I have a beautiful life in Australia, and right now see LOTS of mushrooms as it has been soggy. Would love to hear about Bellingham now.

Marian, I am wondering if the new group name should edit down to The Cosmic Garden or something because we can't see the word "garden" easily.

Diss is nearing completion and i'm getting happy with it ... and i'm looking forward to moving on. Poetry workshops are increasing ... grandfatherhood is amazing ... my friend Ruth finally succumbed to ALS. Here's a poem in her honour.

Spring Paradox

The shadow of the ash grows deeper
as spring paints luscious leaves on
winter’s stark black branches.
The dying and the grieving
aren’t fooled by the suns joyful
birthing rampage of greenery …
all isn’t simply as it appears.
Tomorrows … silently listening
in the liminal spaces awaiting
the plenitude of possibilities …
will be gathered in bouquets of
variegated leaf and light to be
refracted with uncertain mystery
through the cut-glass prism
of the sacred living vase.
