This feels like a great place to spend some time. Yesterday, I hosted the Honolulu Noetic Science Gathering. For our opening meditation, we shared our thoughts and gratitude for 'our saints'...many people lifted up Matthew Fox, as one of their saints.

Thanks for the comments, Matt and Peter. I understand now that it would be better to have discussions on a discussion "thread" above, so I'll start one in a minute.

Peter, I have great respect for police officers not only for the risks they take but for the public service they provide. I have witnessed many times officers being compassionate toward mentally ill clients when they are detaining them to be transported to the hospital on commitment.... increasingly important now with so many mentally ill folks winding up in jails and prisons.

Okay, no more comments on the comment wall. I'll start a discussion "thread." (=;

Hi Sara, "I find most of my justice making is part of my paid work".
Its great to hear you say that. That means that you are not just going through the motions as sometimes happens to people in mental health care systems.

Balancing, by way of intergration of justice making at work has always been my style. As an example. I am a retired Policeman and I used to give great care and respect to any prisoner I had arrested . I remember one time I congratulated a prisoner after the Judge gave him a lenient sentence.

Hi, fellow pilgrims. I'm currently a clinical social worker in the public mental health system here in South Carolina. Since my work is pretty time consuming, I find most of my "justice-making" is part of my paid work. Since our economy is in flux, so will be our mental health systems. That's all I have to say about that right now. Your prayers would be appreciated.

Also, I'm visiting three mainline churches in my little town, mainly to feel more connected to my community. I've been struck at how effective they have been at raising money for charity. Three churches got together to do a yard sale, and we raised over $1,000 for a boy with MS. So, I'd like to make such activities part of my life as well.

One more thing for now: do you find it a challenge to balance the Via Positiva and the Via Transformativa & just plain getting the housework & yardwork & laundry done? I sure do.

What are your stories?
